So what are we all doing for the Solstice?
Feasts? Sacrifices? Fertility rites?

I wish the blue dye washed off easier, but being religious is often difficult.

Looking out the window wistfully at the sky. But I am taking a crew of kids for frozen custard later, so that's something. Happy Summer, y'all.

Winter solstice here today. Tommorrow promises to be a longer, warmer day.

Back to you too, Dan.

Maybe in the spirit of rebirth this represents you and I can bury the hatchet? Reading what you write here, we agree on much. Our difficulties, silly. Maybe lunch in Blue Hill once my Toyota gets a new mojo? It would be good to see you face to face.

Life is too short to carry around needless enemies.

I ripped out my tomato plants that had been fruiting since before Christmas, and planted garlic.

What we need is a good old fashioned human sacrifice.....anyone up to a trip to Stonehenge?...and candidates?

The solstice ah yes , heady scent of wild roses , blackberry about to blossom, newborn fawns trying out their new legs, often showery and breezy here'bouts but seldom nasty weather. Robins and towhees getting brave one is busy digging up the lawn the other is eating out of the dog dish. A busy time of year . Life is good

Remember, summer solstice represents the first day in the long down hill slide to the shortest day of the year :D
