Don't you hate it when bad things happen to extremely rich people.:D

Gotta love the Onion News. It's about as good as some of the "real" news sources. At least with onion you aren't left wondering if you should trust the facts as reported.

"Chatterton's wife Lydia was among the most seriously disappointed by the mahi mahi. Immediately after the meal, she was rushed by private jet to the Mojave Spa in Palm Springs, CA, where she was treated with mineral-rich natural mud baths."

"...in 1993, a fire killed a shoe-shine boy, leaving club members' loafers scuffed for six days. "

This can't be a serious article, can it?

And if you lived in Newport you'd also be wondering if it was not just tongue in cheek; though the Newport Yacht Club is a pretty hospitable and not at all pretentious place (now the club across the harbor on the other hand...).

Wow, satire and ironic humour coming from the US and without an 'emoticon'. That has cheered me up immensely. Thank you.
I read some of the other articles and was even more pleased. I'll be hitting 'The Onion' site frequently.

Wondering?!

I thought the picture of the mega yachts 'racing' was great, too.

where half way through a dinner party death, with robe and sickle, comes through the door. A moment of silence, the hostess smacks herself on the forehead ad says "Not the tuna mornay?".

This older one from the Onion is good too:
