This isn't necessarily a Building/Repair topic, but I thought it might give some encouragement...
We Capital Yacht Club (Washington, DC) woodies had a bit of a raft-up on Sunday. From Starboard to port-- Corsair II (1956 Richardson '46), Dependent's (1988 homebuilt runabout & tender to Independence, a fiberglass scow), Libertarian (1967 Chris Craft Connie 52'), Storymaker (1958 Chris Craft Connie 42'), Audrey (1956 Chris Craft Connie 38'). That's roughly 85 tons of slowly rotting mahogany, by my count.

Unfortunately, Storymaker is heading with her captain to Michigan next Sunday. He'll be there for at least 2 years. Storymaker has been handed down from club member to club member for the last 35 years and hasn't left the Potomac watershed in about 30. There will be a moment of silence at the dock as she motors away, then I'm pretty sure all of the previous owners who are still alive will start bawlin' like little babies.

One of the captains in the group is 85-years old and wasn't up for a cruise, so we paraded back to the dock instead.
