Thanks, and best to all here.

Thanks, Brad. I'm fine; the family's all well--- just extraordinarily busy.
IIRC, it was John .....
Hope all's well with you & yours.

Thanks, Jim.
Those are two other excellent WBF members, but I was thinking (IIRC) of High C, whose name was perhaps John...
He got hit hard by Katrina, as I recall, but came back strong and got things put back together pretty well.

Alan actually he did not get hit as hard as JTA.
If I recall correctly, the only damage to the main floor was from a mast coming up through the floor from down below.
I do believe he did loose some rental property though

Jack, I think that's right, although I was recalling perhaps a foot or two of muck under his house...
I think he posted photos of it at the time. A pain to deal with.
Others got hit much worse, though.

If the name comes to someone's mind, in the interest of High C's privacy, that person could respond to me by a private message.
Apparently the search feature either doesn't go back very far, or work very well.
What a surprise...

Thanks for the responses here.

Hi Alan! What's up?
As Jack G stated, my damage here was not so bad. The raised house (9' pilings) stayed just above the flood waters. As you noted, there was a great deal of mud washed in from the nearby marsh, but that's all been cleaned out of the yard by now. The neighborhood bayous are still partly clogged with marsh grass and muck, but cleanup has begun, though it is being financed in fits and starts as FEMA works in its mysertious ways.
Much of the neighborhood is still not rebuilt, but our little end of it where most of the houses were raised faired quite well.

Hello again, High C.
Once I found your name, I also found your private message from a few years ago, and then found Dr. Hake's name which took me to the website he recommended.
I've got a friend with plantar faceitis, and was trying to get him a link to that site, which I was able to do.
Nothing too earth shattering, but I've been in his shoes before (so to speak), so helping out seemed like a good idea.
I myself have had NO recurrance (at all, ever) in the three years since you put me on to Dr. Hake, and I took his recommendation, so from time-to-time grateful thoughts head your direction... if you ever come up this way, please get in touch (I'm in the phone book) and it'll be our pleasure to host you & yours for a good dinner...
All the best,
Alan

Thanks Alan, and I'm delighted to hear that Dr. Hake did the trick for you. I hope you get to meet him someday; he's a very funny guy! :D
