Many of Joel White's plans for his dinghies, Shearwater, etc. specify "SNBCC Bryunzeel, or equivalent" for planking. My question is this mahogany plywood a Khaya, Okoume, Meranti or Sapelli ply. I want to know which plywood his weight estimates are based upon. For instance, 150 lbs is the est. lbs. for Shearwater...but if that weight is based on Sapele or Meranti or Khaya than I can bank on one planked in Okoume will be lighter. Does anybody know for a fact what SNBCC is or what plywood JW might have been basing his weights on?

Cheers,
Clint
