View Full Version : Jesus -- Someone's Posting About Paris Hilton?

Carl Cramer

Have we really stooped to this? Do you have NO LIVES?

I'm more interested in finding collaborative boat-design software so we can produce something significant and achievable, or at least intellectually challenging.

Does Paris Hilton answer any of the above?

I don't mean to be a snob, but this is such dumbing-down that I think it should be flamed and made to go elsewhere.

I hold such high standards for you-all. Do you care as well? Yes, I know -- We can ignore. But I feel somewhat.. sullied.. be even seeing it here.

Ask me how I feel about Busssssssssh and Chaindawg and then maybe we'll have a discussion, but not on this forum.

tnx, c

Good Evening Mr. Cramer. I must confess that I have attempted to stay on topic here, even providing boat stuff, attempting to pump some of the junk out of here. Check out this bilge thread. Regards.

In the Designs and Plans section of the forum we've used Martijn van Engeland's FREE!ship and DELFTship for a collaborative design project:

They're versatile programs. Available here:

and I have been making drawings all day on the transom expansion of my 27 tug design, crunching numbers the old fashioned way with my compensating polar planimeter, I completed two pen and ink highly detailed drawings of YODA using metallic inks for a "T" shirt design for my 5 year old grandson, completed mechanical drawings for the new IED bomb jammer that we are designing for a giv'ment client, and finished the copyright papers for the proposed stamps for the Joshua Slocum Society.......I don't think I have posted in the bilge today............this is my first "bilge" encounter.....:p

Paris Hilton, the celebrity isn't very interesting, granted. Paris Hilton the defendant and her treatment by the criminal justice system is somewhat more so.

Where's your social conscience, Cramer?
Life is all about boats to you, eh?
Well, let me tell you, some of us like to support our social icons and the role models of our children.
We don't like it when role models get slammed into the slammer for trumped up felonies and have their makeup kit and drug bag taken away from them and then are expected to act content and happy in the slammer like a common criminal.
I hope you get slammed in the slammer and your drug bag taken away from you and see how you like it.

It's worse than that.

I see that the Seine beach in Paris is open on the 20th, but they've banned thongs and topless sunbathing! Even a fine!

Too bad. That's really the only reason I'd ever want to go to Paris.

Our esteemed editor chastising Forumites for posting in the Bilge about Paris when he has kept silent about posts of rancorous name-calling, politics ad-nauseum, xenophobic ranting, et al? I am gobsmacked.

I can see why he likes to leave the mask on. It makes him scarier looking and creating fear is one of his principal tactics. In this photo with the mask off he looks almost cuddly by comparison

Well, Bruce, ol' Cheeeny looks pretty good under that mask. He ought to keep it off - that snarly face is really sceeery.

As for Paris Hilton, she's at least as interesting as some of the posts I've seen here. After all, this IS the Bilge!:p
