Now that is exactly what was needed! A planer short enough for a palm format.
As I said before, it doesn't have to actually be useful, as long as it is cheap. I'll bet that most of these units sold will never touch a real project.

I bought this one at RONA about a year ago for $99. Triple blade, 1/8 in cut, 48,000 CPM, so It'll hog off wood pretty quick. It's fairly well made and rugged enough, but the depth adjustment isn't as robust as it should be, so it's sure not for doing fine work;) . It's done enough good grunt work that it doesn't owe me anything. Haven't seen this new little one yet, but it looks like it's from the same manufacturer in Australia - Global Machinery Co.www.gmcompany.com.
