One boatyard rises while another sinks

David Stimson and Boothbay Harbor Shipyard launched BOUNTY this weekend after the refurbishing done on her over the winter. This is the BOUNTY from the 1960s movie "Mutiny on..." See http://www.boothbayharborshipyard.com/projects.html

Meanwhile, Hinckley announced that it is not going to be building and operating a marina and repair facility in Wiscasset, Maine as had been planned.

Emily Ferguson visited us over the weekend to take pictures of the BOUNTY launch and see a bit of Maine. I hope she'll post some pics here if the spirit moves. She also brought welcome news of life on Cape Cod and some delicious brownies and bagels. Thanks, Emily! http://www.landsedgephoto.com/

For the most part experience is making the same mistakes over and over again, only with greater confidence.

    Hmm.

Brownies, bagels, and ships. Sounds like a person with her head on straight.

I once spent a night on a goat farm near Wiscasset. Pretty neat place. I have been to the Hinckley place in Southwest Harbor several times. Pretty impressive.

Well, I just had to go to the Boston Early Music Festival for a week before I could get to this, so I hope you'll all forgive me for being so late.

      They're here:http://www.landsedgephoto.com/Bountylaunch.html

Not very big but the page tells the story.
A society predicated on the assumption that everyone in it should want to get rich is not well situated to become either ethical or imaginative.
