I have strawberries ripening in my garden. :)Trouble is the chip monks are getting to them faster then I am. Is it possible to pick em sooner and ripen them inside under protection, If so how? Just put em in the sunshine or.... Getting a working hawk, hungry cat or other predator is not an option.;) weapon or trap use also.

Kinda defeats the purpose of having a garden, doesn't it? Vine-ripened fruit vs what you get at the grocery.
I'd set a trap, livetrap if you must. You're pretty much tying your own hands, with the limitations you've placed.

Are you sure it is not birds getting your berries? I caught a gaggle of blue jays in our patch today. You can put plastic netting over the patch.
