Hey, Guys.
I was reading about the reframing from the outside of Kirawan in WB #178 when I came across the source of my future nightmares: "He avoided epoxy because of its requirement for relatively dry wood and its debatable bonding properties with white oak."
I'm just about done rebuilding the mahogany runabout that I started in Feb. Mahog. on white oak. I used mechanical fasteners, as well as epoxy, but I had never heard about any debatable bonding properties before. Were the Kirawan repair guys being extra cautious, or should I be planning on doing warranty work?
