David, Elly's a good boat for YOUR cruising grounds, no? :D
Perhaps she needs a twin sister...

Emiliano.
Somewhat on the subject; I have a Koster Class here at WBRF. Like 3/4 Elly and 1/4 folkboat combined. Take a look. Koster Class 1930 (http://www.woodenboatrescue.org/KOSTER.htm)
I am saving this one for myself, unless a true Koster/Elly/Swedish-workboat lover really wants her.
Cheers, Bruce

Cross posting Bruce
Mate as I recall Elly is somewhere around 30ft LOD and 13ft beam... could be out a tad with those figures since Ive no referce to check against but theyre the numbers that come to me... at 23ft LOD she would seem somewhat smaller eh?
Look mate no worries just whack er in a seatainer an send er down okay??? I mean dont stress out just send her okay!!! I promise to take good loving care of her... when did you say she would be here mate? Cheers!!

Yes that one Wild dingo !! smile.gif hey Im proud of the topic I have started !! ;) Bruce very nice the Koster Class too... thanks !!
Emiliano.
OK she is on the way as soon as the endowment for WBRF get s here from you :D ---say 3.5 million US?
Really, I wish I could get her to someone like you! Yup, she is about 24.25ft actually and a 10.25 beam or so.
I just got this great book on Swedish work boats and she is pictured (line drawing) in there. My Swedish is now gone, but I drool over the drawings.
Good news is that there is a fellow Scandie nutter here who might have fallen for her and he has skills and time! We shall see.
What to post the pix from my site to this thread?
Cheers---
oh just remembered a thread earlier this summer on "koster", Kag", etc boats---interesting and more eye candy---it was this thread that got me to buy the book.

Howdy there.
I'm new to this forum..
So G'day, how are you all?
There really is some top inspiration here,.. all those lovely pointy sterns, wow.
I think that photo Wildo Dingo posted is a Nordland cod boat or some such. Magniff
Martin Schulz, Where in Christ's name did you procure these images,... of such husky, scandinavian, independant seafaring prowess.
I need more info and details or my brain will explode.
Keep up the good work everyone, it's very impressive.
Later
Adam
