So .... the Kiwis are knocked out by the Sri Lankans, who threw a match to avoid playing the Aussies in the semis. My son remains convinced they have a couple of absolute chuckers in their team - but it seems harmony is more important than playing the game to the rules. so .......

Tonight - starting around the witching hour, in the second semi. we get the Aussies up against the South Africans.

You'd have to have money on the Aussies, wouldn't you?

Bluddy hell - South Africa 27 for 5 - with McGrath on a hat trick after 9.5 overs - but missed it (just)

It was a great win. My son and I gave up at the 20 over mark - when Gibbs and Kemp were showing a bit of resistance - or should I say the only resistance. Fancy sending a 15 year-old to bed at 1 am on a school day.

It's all about MONEY! I doubt there's been an honest result from a sub-continent team for 10 years and the so-called "World Cup" is more about TV cash and jobs for professional entertainers than cricket. It hasn't even been good 'entertainment'!
Go down to your local park next summer if you want sport!

Too many amateur dirtbags at some of those games.

And where do they get their model from?

Re the chuckers, Video replays from behind the bowler show at least one of them having his arm out further to the side of his shoulder than over it in my opinion.

Nevertheless a good win by Sri Lanka.

Congratulations to the Aussies for making the final.

It is interesting that it was the Sri Lankans who last beat the Aussies in a final.
