This looks like the dory that belonged to the grandfather of a friend. She was irked when an uncle dragged it down to Maine. Anyway, if she's the same and if the rebuild didn't change it, she has the neatest well with a sort of sliding rolling arrangement to bring the motor up.
I've never seen a well quite like that and regret that I didn't make a drawing or photo when I could.
Anyone around close enough to take a look at the well?

Maybe e-mail the owner and ask about it? The boat's in East Blue Hill.

Email was a good idea. His response makes me think that she is the same boat. I'm hoping that he'll post pix of the well or let some near-by Forum member drop by to do it. We'll see.
As I mentioned to him, I wish I had $2,000 and the need for a motor launch of such class and beauty. I cannot imagine that she’ll sit long.
