boat builder in maine

I am looking at a 21 foot down eastern stle boat that the seller says was built in maine by a company called Man. Anybody ever hear of this company and what is the reputation of their boats.

It might have been built by someone in Manset, Maine but FWIW I don't know of any builders named Man.

On the other hand, when some Maine natives get testy with another person (native or from away, it doesn't matter) they sometimes address him as 'Mister Man'. Maybe someone had this boat built, didn't care for it and always referred to it as having been built by 'Mr. Man over in (wherever)'... ;)

Any more details on the boat? GL
