My grandparents went to Hawaii for their 50th back in the '70s and made it a priority to see him. He ended up having dinner with them and picking up the tab.
Jamie, don't let them see you blowing bubbles or the guys in white with a long sleeved dinner jacket just for you may appear at your door.

If I'm not mistaken.. isn't that the song he made famous?... Maybe I'm wrong... hence the umm.....tongue in cheek comment.

actual song title " I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles "...

Thanks Donn.. I just knew it was something about bubbles. And I was not aware that I"m Forever..... was that old a tune. Unless there was a redo in the 60's. My sister used to sing it..

Years ago, while living in Honolulu, I passed up a chance to take in his show cause I'd not heard of him before...so much for a smart 24 year old...

My Grandma loved Don Ho.
I still have her old RCA with the wood cabinet and the turn table still works. (8 trac is shot)
When Grandma passed her (autographed no less) Don Ho album was playing and she just fell asleep on the couch and floated away.
I'm sure she'll be in the front row for his next show.
