A town seat.. An election. One candidate, the incumbent, forgot to vote... Final tally, of votes for him.. 0..
Mayor called the seat vacant...which gives him the right to put someone in.. Guess what, the guy receiving no votes is gonna be recommended to fill the empty seat. Nice way to win an election.:rolleyes:

Hey Phil, you went about your campaign from the wrong direction... LOL...

I got this off the radio... I guess I found it interesting but I also sense that there were no other candidates... I mean, if any other even got one vote.. well.
I guess what I find interesting is the candidate that received no votes had two things going against him..
1) he did not think it worth his time to vote.
2) If that is the case, why should he be put in to fill the vacancy.
3) By not even receiving even one vote, does that not suggest he just does not have the support of the residents

I find it kinda stange...

Norman.. I was not loooking at his appointment as a primary issue here.. A secondary. I agree.. The mayor did not have that many options as there was no competition and apparently no one in the town cared.
