Okay, forgiving the fact that our illustrious, jokester Joe was TOO BUSY with some real estate deal thingy or whatever :p to bother w/ lil ole Moi and meet us in the city.... Or maybe pulling your leg about leaving the forum...
He was right about one thing; LOMBARDI'S pizza is the best!!!:)

Very good sauce, great toppings and that atmosphere that only comes from a building that's been around for-ever.
Now if they could just get Julia Roberts to be a waitress there!

And I have to admit, ALL the New Yorkers I interacted w/ were very pleasant people. Wow, I might even have to go back for another visit...
Well, actually I do have to. See, the Guggenheim was basically closed for renovations/exhibit changes.... just the side galleries were open... But did that stop them from having a sign out front touting the F.L.Wright and other exhibits?? NOOOooooooo!

Oh, and the Empire St. Bldg was fogged in... So we went down to GreenwichV... and L.Italy... Weather cleared up so we figgered on hitting the E.S.B. on the way back to the hotel... Nice clear night. So did umpteen dozen other people. Two hours later we get in, go up the elevator and see.....
FOG.
Damn. Oh well. Had to laugh. And of course the next morning was absolutely pristine!
So for everyone that made suggestions.... here's what we did...not in any particular order. (least what I can post;) )

Food
MOMA
"CHICAGO" starring Bebe Neuwirth
Food
Times Square (hotel half a block away... Room overlooking!)
Empire State Bldg.
Guggenheim
More food
Little Italy
Greenwich Village
Brooklyn Bridge looked at the boats at S. St. Seaport.
Even more food
Intl Center of Photography for a Cartier-Bresson exhibit..
Central Park
One last meal...
Lots of looking around.

ROXY'S Deli for Pastrami, back the next night for a huge honking pc of cheesecake; you can feel your arteries clogging!
Found a great Thai place in the Village too.

Now the bummer was that Mondays lots of stuff is closed, no plays. We didn't have a great choice of B'way shows to see but CHICAGO was on our short list so we sucked it up and paid top dollar...
Would have liked to see BLUE MAN GROUP, but alas, twas not to be.

JFK airport is NOT all that nice!
The subway system is a little tired looking, but hey, it's old. And what a bargain!

Pictures later...

Cinderella's Table at MOMA. They used a CNC router to cut each pc of plywood and then glued it all together. Pretty cool looking.
