I would like to put a Stainless Steel Cutwater on the bow of the Chris Craft Constellation 45'. Now I know it was not on it originally, but I really like the look. I do not find a single thread on the subject in Wooden Boat Forum, and on internet search, I find Cutwaters by Mike, but the site is not open.
Who out there knows where I can have a Cutwater made for the Chris Craft?

Thanks rkrough, I will contact them. I am still looking for more potential sources, as surely I am not the first to need a replacement (or Original) Cutwater.

It's not a cutwater. What you are thinking of is called a stem band. Simply a piece of bronze or ss that protects the leading edge of the stem.
Try searching for "stem band"

A really good cutwater will have a precision ground lasar checked edge. Toledo steel would be better than 316 SS but you'll need your paid hand to polish it hourly to prevent rust.

Get on the CC website and link to the antique boat club. They have a "forum/board" and listing for parts, pieces, etc.
Also, there is Hundley's Classic Boats ... outside of Dallas???
Finally, Classic Boat Connection, in Mankato, MN. phone: 507-344-8024.
Get one ... I wouldn't be without one on my boat- they look good and are functional.

Cutwater is the correct name.
A good marine welding shop out to be able to do a custom cutwater like this.
Walrus Machine here in Seattle made one for a 1926 55 ft. Fellows & Stewart.
I know. I wouldn't have put it on either.
