(boilerplate message)

You need the following additional stuff:

Spyware Blaster (free) (anti-malware)
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

AdAware(free personal edition) (anti-spyware)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php

SpyBot S&D(free) (anti-spyware)
http://www.spybot.info/en/spybotsd/index.html

Install and UPDATE, then run all... UPDATE your anti-virus program as well!

If you still have problems, go to
http://www.merijn.org/programs.php#hijackthis
and download HijackThis, run program and save report, then go to Windows BBS http://www.windowsbbs.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41 and post a
message there.... VERY helpful people!

(You can also find a lot of other topics on their forum besides
spyware/malware. They constantly save my bacon on networking
issues.)

Final word: If you do get advice from a Pro on fixing things,
follow that advice TO THE LETTER, and REPORT BACK as to your
results/ further problems. It's fixed? Great, but DO let people know
that you've been successful!
