The two QE's were actually in AU Mark . I spose it could be Aussie , but I still tend to think here. ( looks more like a building in the background than North head tho, I now think.)

I was gonna say Panama, but then you said you didn't leave the country. That looks almost like a levee in the foreground.

Isn't the QE2 docked in California somewhere? Long beach I think. It is a tourist attraction, along with the the "spruce goose", which is not longer there. It got moved by barge up to Portland, OR and then trucked piece by piece to the McMinnville Air Museum.
Long Beach, California, that is my answer. Minus the Spruce Goose.

The cigar goes to Johnathan Kabak.
Last August for a limited time Govenors Island NYC The Big Apple was opened to the public. I and friends took advantage of the offer and had a guided tour of just part of the island. Since the USCG left much of this valuable real estate has fell into disrepair, including the dock area in Buttermilk channel. The image was taken from a grassy area twords the SE. By luck the Queen was docked in Brooklyn loading passengers for a cruise.
Johnathan you may have a sail aboard "Carrianne" a 18' sprit rigged sharpie as a prize. I know this may be step down from schooners in NY but it's the best I can do.:D

Nice day on the water, JD! And a really sweet-looking boat. Tell us (or at least me) more about her. Do you have pictures of her build? I like what I see about her rigging — fill in the details on that as well, if you would, please. Thank you very much!

Thanks river sailor. The best way to find out about the boat is to get WB 140. There is an article I about the boat in that issue.
If you can't get that issue . She is 18' sprit rig with the whole snotter rigged up that way. Can you be more specific as to what you want to know ?
