Sorry I can't make this one. Not that you all would need another rowdy, off the wall formite. Sounds like one more would not be nec. looking at the attending crowd...
Have fun you all.

We do have a small ebs planned for a few Gulf Coasters next weekend. This party in B'ham sounds awesome, though. I think that you and 'Airlie' are probably the center piece of the biggest ebs of the year coming up in Mystic, so you'll probably be just fine.

We would love it. I am STILL waiting on the engine installation, but once it's in everyone is invited. And I mean it.

Ms Margo is from Athens, ALABAMA. There is a small state college in Athens (my wife's aunt was one of the deans there).
I guess that a long time ago people who wanted to found a college thought that the places where they were building should have names that evoked long ago centers of wisdom, where the students stood around with wrinkled brows and with their fists propped against their chins. Therefore: Athens, Alabama, Athens, Georgia, and Oxford, Mississippi.
Tuscaloosa, of course, means 'Black Warrior', and Chief Tuscaloosa was the dude who fought against Hernando DeSoto while he was meandering all over the south looking for gold (lol). The University of Alabama was founded in Tuscaloosa because that was the state capitol at the time (1831).
Anyway, Ms Margo is an Alabamian.

Have a good time. If I had not put on 1700 miles since Wed. I would have kept on driving. Heck, what is another 1000 anyway? My car is 10 yrs. old. Another thousand on the odometer is nothing.

If we ever have our Gulf Coast ebs you need to try and make it, Charles. It would be a pleasure to meet you.
My schooner is at the Homeport Marina in Gulf Shores, just to the north of the Highway 59 bridge onto the island. She's natural finished and a sharpie schooner so you can't miss her. If you are ever over this way let me know.

Homeport Marina...straight shot south from Foley...I've done some boat interiors there...prior to Hurricane Ivan that is. It is good to hear that the marina is back and running...it's been a rough couple of years along the northern Gulf Coast.
Sure, I'd love to have a dockside tour of your sharpie sometime...sharpies and skipjacks are among my favorites...add the word schooner and I start walking and talking funny like an old seadog. How about sometime in April? PM me with your contact info.
