I honestly don't see a whole lot of reason for outrage here, with regard to the children. The parents who were sole caretakers were released, and the pregnant women were also released.

If there's any outrage, it's the fact that these 'show' arrests are selective and designed for mass consumption courtesy of the media. It's not something uniformly applied, and there was no reason for a 'raid'... they could have just as easily investigated, located the illegal immigrants, and nabbed them individually. Doing so at one specific workplace (while thousands of other workplaces weren't raided) was just a show of force, intended to stir up some fear... it's a lousy way to handle a bad policy.
