My nephew is featured in the March issue of outdoor life; he's a coast guard search and rescue guy, they profiled him, great picture. The so-called interview seems to have involved a lot of input from Coast Guard public affairs officers, but there is one quote that I know came from him, he calls rough weather "victory at sea conditions."

Handsome boy, I am very proud of him, he has turned into quite a man, someone anyone would be proud of.

I should add, my brothers and sisters are a bit older than me, my neices and nephews are more like my siblings, he is like a little brother to me, more than a nephew.

Congrats on the nephew's moment Pat. Used to be a subscriber but haven't picked it up for years. May have to grab the latest though:)

I still pick up an issue every so often. Like their television station, they have drifted away from just hunting and fishing and do features on all aspects of 'outdoor life'. It's really a well done magazine, but the purists who used to subscribe are probably not on their rolls any more.

Coast Guard Search and Rescue does deserve some respect, and it's great to see them get it. That fact that it's your nephew makes it that much more special, Norman.

Watched "The Guardian" this weekend. Great Coast Guard movie! You must be very proud of your nephew.

because of OL. They had an article on the Six Hour Canoe.
So a buddy and I built a pair. We still have them.
