Is he the station manager's nephew?

We had a lady on our local weather who was a former Miss America-type. A well known local who decided at the age of about 25 that she would be a good television reporter. One of the stations brought her in and decided to train her on the weather. She was just about as good as that guy her first few times out. She did improve and eventually made it to CNN in Atlanta.

Maybe reading the news/weather is harder than we think that it should be? Maybe the guy was really nervous? Maybe his uncle owns the station?

There's no almost about it. That was truly painful to watch. I thought that at any moment he was going to have a complete breakdown. Three people should lose their jobs. Him obviously. The person who hired him and the director for not cutting to a commercial.
