I'm ready!

Yesterday was tough....there is no doubt this is an addiction.
I wish I could say I made it through with flying colors. That is not the case. Around lunch yesterday, I did smoke about 1/2 of a cigar. I was able to regroup and get back with the program. I then made it through the rest of the day.
Waking up this morning, I am again focused on kicking this. I am not going to focus on a minor slip yesterday. Success is more important to me right now than perfection.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement....It really does help

In a few weeks, you'll get your taste buds back...later if you smoke again you'll see the contrast

good luck and hang in there!

Jack, is this where I smack you on the back of the hand with a ruler for having half a cigar yesterday?

Keep on working at it. If you are convinced you need to quit you will. Try the Big Red chewing gum today.

I found that a jumbo pack of black Twizzlers, and a 2 pound bag of pistaschios helped a lot.

Jack, whatever it takes. Nine yrs ago I took Wellbutrin for a 1/2yr. absolutely turned off the switch that I had for alcohol. If that works for tobacco addiction I would say the suffering isn't worth it. Stopping is.
You can do it.

Good luck, Jack. I'm struggling too - using the patch most of the time, and when I remember to put one on, I'm OK... but if I forget, and I'm around a certain bandmate who smokes, I slip up (my fault, not the bandmate's!). Hang in there, the effort to quit is well worth the difficulty. Cheers!
