for your amusement and perhaps my moral support...28 below today (no i'm not in victoria now, and thats i think 19 F below for you folks south of the border)
there is a log on blocks out in the snow and i have been working at hewing a square beam out of it, centered on the pith, for a boom spar...once past the chainsaw and axe stage i'll be able to haul it in the shop and get to 8 and 16 siding it with planes and power planer
just came in to thaw the icicles off my beard and leave this cautionary tale for readers considering boating as a lifestyle choice

Hmm - it was 32 C here today - just like yesterday, and last week, and the week before. It gets down to 24 C at night, so I wake up and have to pull a sheet over me (brrrr.. smile.gif )
On balance I'd have to say that the tropics have a lot to recommend them

Geez, I thought I was going to read about severed fingers. A pleasant 36C here today - shorts and no shirt weather.
I managed to punch out a 4-53 Detroit Diesel motor today - but lost the fight. A spanner slipped and I hit a hose clamp. Lots of blood and three stitches.

Cold and snowy on the North Coast today. It's gonna get colder before it gets warmer.

It's 28°C (82F) here, sun shines everyday, and girls are cute ;) :D
50 right now, with single digits by Thursday. I guess it's about time to put the Ice Eater overboard. :(
