A Taste:

Firstly let me state I consider there are two kinds of fishermen - "the needy" and "the greedy" and I can assure you there are no shortage of either in the industry. Once there were what I called a little bit of honour in fishermen, "but no more". All you could say of a fisherman now is a fierce individual.

(Sounds a bit like Oyster?)

Then he must be able to splice a rope, repair a sail if he has one, fit a shackle, repair anchor winches, pot haulers, repair many types of steering devices etc. and with types of materials that was never meant for the job. Then after he does all these chores he must try to find himself a load of fish, which those who know, know is not all beer and skittles.
