Does anyone know where I can find detailed instruction as to how to re-do the white caulked seams on a runabout?...GOOD instructions? First, I need to straighten out the seams that are a little raggedy. Second, I need to recaulk them and have the whole job look great. Several sources I have found say to varnish over the completed seams. That leaves yellowish white caulk. SOMEBODY is doing it right...I've seen the completed work. How's it done?

I'm sure that if you looked in Wooden Boat index you'd find something. That being said, what's a "little raggedy". If the edges need a little tuning up I'd take some of 3m's gold stikit sandpaper, apply it to a long thin piece of wood and run it along the inside of the groove. As far as your caulking question. You sure aren't going to remove the caulk every time you want to put a coat of varnish on, so over time if you're going to use white, plain and simple they're going to turn yellow.
