I have some questions about if anyone here has hipnotized themselves as a remedy for any ailments? Me and my wife have been having trouble lately with me being lade off which I blame manely on all the mexicans coming in and today when she went to the dr. she was told she has almost high blood presure and can help it by hipnotizing her own self and focus on a picture of something fun she has done. She is going to try it and says she is going to focus on our vacation at myrtle beach, but I am also a bit worried. What if she decides to think about some younger guy in a swimsuit or somethingall the time? Maybe she just neeeds to take some pills.

I know what you mean, given her NASCAR fetish. If she focuses on Jeff Gordon I doubt her blood pressure will trend lower.

I say forget pharmaceuticals. More Krispy Kreme's would be my RX. Of course, i'm not an M.D. I only portray one on T.V.

I had eye surgery under hypnosis when I was 10, but have a look at this site
http://www.gawler.org/html/s01_home/home.asp?dsb=10
Ian Gawler was a Vet who got and recovered from cancer years ago. Some swear by his methods, of course it's not a cure for all. but as a general principal for managing a health problem it's pretty good as it approaches attitudes and reactions in a positive way.
Hope this helps, I'm sure there are similar set-ups in the states. There are plenty of charlatans in the field of course, be careful, 'specially if they want cash up front!

Thank you Mr Skullthorn, but I do not believe that web site pertains to what this here doctor wanted her to do. According to my wife, you are supposed to hipnotize your self by concentrating on a picture in your lifetime that made you very happy. I am just hoping I am in her picture some wheres.:(

Don't worry about it, Tommy. I talked to your wife the other day and she says she's moved on from young studs. She spends most of her free time perusing the 'Women seeking women' columns now.

Tom that is just plain rude. I hope your wife is dreaming of a naked Benny Parsons or some one.

Something else I have worried about since hearing this is that I might come home some time and my wife will be in some kind of zombie condition and I wont be able to wake her up anymore. Is there anybody here who has experience in this stuff?

You are right to be concerned. According to this organization one in three people are in some stage of zombification.

I think it used to becalled 'positive thinking' Tommy. There were books on it in the 20's and 30's. The happiness cure. There are double blind tests that show a fair percentage of people get well taking a placebo, they think they are getting well. Auto suggestion. Run that past the Doc. or organise it yourself

I think the better approach is to place a picture of yourself under a special colored light.

If you don't have one, send me a picture and $500, and I'll guarantee a result.
