No mate neither broadband nor adsl is available here only dialup... sometimes fast as broadband sometimes slower than a snail train from Afganistan via Iraq and the sea of China then through Sitka Alaska to Tiawanna and Easter Island then down to the nuth Island of Kiwiland back up to Bali across to India through Nepal on a cow over the andes to Sweden and down through the london underground to New York and back when it gets here its that buggared it cant be bothered  ... this one Ive given up on since I just waved to the the statues on Easter Island :(

Broadband is available 30 odd klicks away in Bunbury Adsl up the road about 80 klicks in Mandurah but here? nope the phone lines the only way  But then as I say 9 times out of 10 its as fast as the broadband I once had in Mandurah which cost us my left gronicle within the first month my right by the second month and by the time the bill arrived her boobs went as well  BLOODY TELSTRA!! And then to get out of the bloody thing it cost... too bloody much! all up to have broadband with Telstra Bigpond it cost us over $3000 for 3 bloody months!! there modem was nackered their kl byte guage was reading gigabytes instead of kilobytes and no matter what we did it was our fault... the damned thing even clicked over when the machine was OFF the power was out and nothing was working Telstra STILL charged us usage! BLOODY TESTRA MONGRELS!

so I stay safely ensconsed in me slow as buggary dialup not the cheepest but no drop offs and mostly reasonably fast... for dialup that is ;)

As I say Ive given up on this one been waiting over an hour now and only half done so stuff it... will have another crack at it tomorrow sometime... funny today it was fast as zippin all over the place downloadin movies and such not a problemo but tonight? slow as :(

Short answer here. Less than a mile from cable and 14 miles from DSL. No matter, 28.8 kbps best ever speed with lulls down to 19. Ya just have to get used to not looking at video in any form. Satellite subject to snow/rain scatter and bandwidth restrictions at peak time. That is for $600 up front in hardware and $60/mo ongoing. Dialup is one of the few negatives to living in God's country.
