View Full Version : Tropical Cyclone Nelson.

Tropical Cyclone Nelson, originally predicted to fizzle out on the western side of the Gulf of Carpenteria is now predicted to cross Cape York and reform off Townsville.
In Brisbane our water supply dams are at less than 20% capacity.
Traditionally we need a cyclone to come down the east coast and dump a huge quantity of rain to refill them.
Fingers crossed that TC Nelson can do this with minimum damage to anyone.

Just mentioned it on another thread. Thanks for the update. I 'll call my old man and suggest he rethink his coastal trip. He's holed up at Kawau island now.
Just did that.
Rufustr, can you give me a path to that map. I use the bom.au site and have my favourite ones I look at but I haven't been able to find out how to get to that one . ( for updates)
Thanks again.Those ones are the ones that can easily turn into a major for us here too.
