Dirty rotten swine - pinching our iconic names like that. We had an "armoured" scout car called the Dingo during WW2. They brought a nice one to a cocktail party at the Aust. War Memorial a year or two back - but I didn't have my camera with me.

I think our Dingo could use some armour.

What were they thinking? The same thing any car maker is thinking when they name a car after an animal (jaguar, falcon, pinto) or object(corvette, lotus) that the car doesn't resemble.
The 'What were they smoking award' goes to Isuzu for the "Wizard Mysterious Utility":D

Tends to whine in high gear. Rattles on a bit, has spawned plenty of other models. Versatile if not stylish

We have devices named after Shane here in Australia already.http://www.dingo.ws/html/images/ProAttachments.gif

Good God - the Dingo was actually a Daimler - another Pommie car inflicted on us poor colonials. Ya reckon Shane might be an English import too?

Ugly, plain, boxy even stout, utilitarian, certainly not exotic.:(
