Does anyone have any experience with the coverage rate of white lead? I am going to use it for bedding canvas on a deck, and am not sure how much to order. I have about 100 sq. ft. to cover. Kirby's couldn't provide an answer ... maybe one of yous forumites with experience can?
TIA.

I recently used white lead from Kirby's to set the canvas on the to of my H28 coach roof. Without measuring I would guess it to be close to 50 sq. ft. I used a toothed trowel to spread the lead. The job used all of a quart and we were sweating having enough. I would opt for at least three quarts just to be safe rather than running out. I am sure some one would want to buy any left over material from you. Cans that have been opened should be filled with "Bloxygen" to preserve the contents.

Jay: Thanks for the information. That is exactly what I am looking for. BTW - "Bloxygen" ???
Thanks.

Bloxygen is a highly-modified form of good old Oxygen with cubed molecules, 0sub4 instead of 0sub2, hence the name "blox". The cubed molecules won't harden the paint like normal oxygen.
;- )
In reality it does work *within* the current laws of physics, check it out at http://www.bloxygen.com/

Hello everybody,
As a professional chemist I could not let the last post go smile.gif .
This Bloxygen product is a mixture of
NITROGEN (N2) / CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) / ARGON (AR)
Argon is a heavier gas that settles in the can and displaces any oxygen from the surface of the leftover paint.
