Geeez I love these Swis/Norse sites!! ;) Okay 2 questions Ola... 1) what the dickens is that black goop theyre using? tar? 2) what are they using for stitching? oh and 3) whats the guy hunkering down next to the tree hunting for? truffles? :D

Whoa....it took me a minute and a look at the closeups to realize that the planks are sewn together with spruce roots? I can see how you use clamps to get the laps tight, but how do you tighten the "stitches" so that when the clamps are released the laps stay tight??

Actually the reason I havent found it is I usually have some problems with the spelling and words... :cool: ... But then I'm a patient sort of buggar and will generally wait till some fine person like your goodself wanders along and throws some tidbit from your neighborhood for me to have a stickybeak at... and go from there :D
