A fine pastime! So what's to be fished for around Shelby, NC?

Short drive to Rutherford County where trout are dumped in the river, but I much prefer the wild bronzebacks!

My brother and I spent many a happy summer day fishing for bass as kids in Ontario from our cedar/canvas canoe. Some of the best memories I have.

Matthew and I logged many hours on the river together. Even Lauren has caught a few smallies with me!

Phil...what's your bench made of, and what kind of vise do you have?

Chuck, I just use a small portable table, and I'm not sure who made my vise. I'll look at it when I get home.

I have one of these:

Griffin Patriot, full rotary with bullnose jaws for large hooks and jigs.

I've had it for over 30 years, and it's never failed me.

That rig's just a bit above my means. :)
