Well I've ordered another set of plans and I'm going to do my best not to let them go into the pile of "good intentions". I ordered the plans for Ben Garveys 15' 9' work/play boat. Looks to be easy to do and not very costly to build. Should be fine for sandbar hopping and some light lobstering/fishing.

IMHO there is nothing wrong with being a curator of boat plans. I am, and will continue to grow my own local maritime reference dipository.

Yeah I get them with the intention but either money or my bigger project 1962 MacKenzie gets in the way. I have a set for a San Juan Dory but it looks really involved and I don't have alot of time. Looking to build something by spring/early summer. Hopefully

Nothing nicer than idling some time away going through the plans, building the boat in your head.

Plans collecting is fun. I have plans for 28 boat plans (Most downloaded) and I built four of them. I am finishing a 56" x 15' 8" Jon boat similar to the Ben Garvy. It looked like a boat after about 8-10 hours of work but with 30 more hours in it it still is not quite done. I ordered my plans with full size drawings for the 24' "Jumbo" Tolman Skiff that is next. I also printed out the kayak stations for a boat I designed with kayak foundry software to be built in cedar strip.
Keep the plans coming in, build what you will complete and can use, but most important, have fun.

I on the other hand have wasted money on plans for boats I'll never build.
