If life offered / demanded you to go work on somebody's boat for $20.00/ hr. who would you go to work for?

A great argument for a full keel, a round bottom, topsides and staying out of the surf:eek:

I don't need a financial incentive to work on Sarah, just some time away.

LOL, I was going to include me in the poll, where Victoria could use some extra care this season, so let's do talk about that.
I could use the help and I'll pay what you are worth.

Is it too late to suggest a work session on Laura Ellen. She could really use some help.:D:D

Seriously though, Sarah would be my choice!

It was not meant as a solicitation, I'd be glad to help and don't want to be paid anything(it's about what I'm worth anyway).

Look at the choices. Erster does not know what a long board is (hint, takes at least two people)

Michigan George, while I agree with his premise, seems to be selling snake oil and Margo would view me as a clean up challenge.: teeth whitener, deoderant, prospective girlfriends, nice condo on the beach, lawnmower

Do you have teak workin tools? I've got to pull a couple of planks and replace. A couple ribs need to be replaced or sistered. Rivets and screws undone.
Then I was thinking I could take a about a 3x4' section and just glass it over or maybe just gob some 5200 into the punctures some afternoon.
I'll bet the two of us could muck it up 1st class.
Do I really have to get all the paint off before glassing? That is a lot of work.

Chris, that's a tough call. If I had to choose between them, I suppose I'd go work for Oyster, just think of what you'd learn from an artist and craftsman like Mike that builds boats by eye. But I'd be dreaming about that hot redhead in Florida the whole time!:D :D

If life offered / demanded you to go work on somebody's boat for $20.00/ hr. who would you go to work for?

Seeing as how I dont make that much now, any boat would do.

How come on other polls, you can see who voted for who? This one I can't??

Well Margo is definantly my first choice... basically cause of what shes been gratious enough to share with us over the years much of her Dave and Sarahs story... the fact that we have shared a small part of her own personal hell with Daves journey and been there at the end to share her tears with his passing... a friend stands by for another friend $20 per hour? Id help her for nothing just because she asked... and thats not based on her stunning good looks either... although that helps ;)

Mike would be my second due to the knowledge he has in this area although we may disagree on some things he's an okay bloke in his own way... personally he would be a great fella to spend some time with doin boat stuff learnin an such

michigangeorge?... Who the hell is michigangeorge? I wouldnt have a flamin clue who the hell he is! No idea in fact... never seen a post of his on the board but then Ive been away for a week so things change and I tend to miss them  But Ive heard nothing about him so he is not on the list as far as Im concerned

What I really cant work out is why Mike is below this michigangeorge charector? I mean come on yous mob!! Mike can like we all can be a pain in the ass from time to time but who the friggin hell is this george persona that he would get 2 votes over Mikes one? Has he got years of knowledge and experience has he got a fanflamintastic workshop with all the gear ever needed or wanted has he shared part of his life with us? And a good part at that? no he hasnt! So come on give mike a bit of a bloody break! michigangeorge?? WHO THE HELL IS THAT WHEN ITS AT HOME? Whos erster? whos oyster? whos Mike? we know who he is!...

Bloody hell what a pack of friggin wombats :p

Whats this all about?... sigh okay Shane go read some posts an figure it out mate  ... no worries

.

Chris, why go to all that trouble? just get some tar paper, duct tape and a hunk of luan and drywall screw it to the hole...ought to hold for most of the season.....

Lessee, Margo pays $20, all you can eat, room included, all the mermaids you can handle, knows which watering holes are worthy, it's winter in St. Augustine.....

Mike has a short longboard, a dented shrimp pot, has only one $20 bill, doesn't pay overtime, and all the mud you can wallow in.

Hmmmmm.

For 20 bucks an hour, why..... I'd even work for Oyster, but he wouldn't be my first pick.

I'd work for George, he's a Northerner and close to home.

Labor for Margo would always be free, she's a friend.
