I agree that it would be extremely dangerous to move these vessels. I spent two months examining the large one in detail to compare it with one built at 69 feet on the waterline, an unusual dimension, because it matched the exact dimensions of the pilings that were found in minnesota at the area where Leif Eriksson and his crew wintered while they repaired the broken garboard strake on his longboat. My drawings of all the construction details were on display at the museum in Reykjavik

Sounds like a perfect application for CPES...'course it'd probably be cheeper just to thin out some epoxy and brush that on...

I've aways loved that museum and, of course, the ships themselves. Been there three or four times.
