New Water Hose

I just bought a new water hose for the boat to fill water tanks. This is a photo of the back of the package label. On the other (front) side the text only says the hose is "drinking water safe".

Maybe it's different when you're cruising, or maybe I've just led a sheltered life, but do you really drink water out of your water tanks? Seriously.

We brush our teeth, shower, etc. with tank water, but cooking, coffee making, and drinking water is bottled.

My point is, if you don't drink it, why buy those expenseive white hoses that deteriorate so fast???

Actually there is most likely more harmful chemicals in the welds of the water tank than in the hose. I love those California mandated disclaimers.

You know you will die sometime, why worry about it?
