It is when one full day of that is allocated to travel. I haven't packed for the 'family holiday vacation' yet either.

You'll be passing through an airport - there is usually something to be found - Tony Bennett CD ? Chocolate?

There's always truckstop shopping.

Nope.. not gonna go there.. I might run into Katherine's dad and he might just give me a pounding for the occasional friendly banter LOL, I have had with his princess on the forum....for a few years.( not that she can't take care of herself ). I'll let Doug or MMike go in my place... :)

Vouchers are great. Purchased from a store that has what the recipient is interested in, they give the right gift every time.

When the kids were small, we would discuss what they were to get and then I would give my wife a big roll of cash to go shopping with.
She seemed to enjoy that, and it suited me.

They had "Father('s) Christmas Night" here in town on Thursday night: burgers on the street corner near the library for a dollar's donation to the ice rink fund, increasing discounts as the hours pass to keep the Dads out shopping, and Girl Scouts to wrap your presents while you drink mulled cider. Brilliant. Best Christmas shopping ever. Not a chore anymore.
