I had been warned that these kind of projects usually take longer -- make that a lot longer than you expect. I've finally stopped predicting a finish date. Work continues albeit slow. It seems for every 2 weeks of progress there's 2 months of nothing. For those of you who have been following this project, you may recall that an experienced friend of mine has been doing the restoration for me, so he fits my boat into his schedule whenever he can. As for me, I've been really busy since the birth of my daughter on August 10, 2003. While much has changed in my life since this project began, you can be sure of one thing. I'm NOT giving up. This boat will be restored! I have been inspired by all the other projects here on the WBF. Everybody keep up the great work! :D

Here's where we are at the moment: The stem has been completed and is ready to be installed. Once it is in place with the new keep, the stopwaters will be put in.

Ribs have been steam bent and shaped using the hull as a template. They are now ready to be placed inside the the hull.

Wow! Great progress.

Have you talked with Will Frost's great grandchildren about this project? They run Even Keel Marine Specialties in Yarmouth, Maine.

I have been in touch with Jamie & Joe as well as Jessie. They have all been very nice and quite helpful. I would have loved for them to be a bigger part of the project, but the boat wasn't strong enough to make it to Maine. However, once she's finished she'll be making the trip up North where she belongs. Isn't it fantastic that all three of Will Frost's great-grandsons are in the boat-building business? What a legacy!
