Does any one out there have information on the 44' catamaran that washed ashore around Florence, Oregon last week with three crew missing at sea? I believe the boat was built in Africa, and was on its last leg of its journey to Port Townsend, Wa from San Francisco, Ca. Apparently the boat was being delivered to its owner.
I'm a little surprised that someone would attempt to deliver that sort of vessel (I assume under sail going "Up-Hill") from San Francisco to Port Townsend in the face of a North Pacific Storm...for that matter attempting to sail up the coast between Northern California and Washington in November seems a little peculiar if not desperate to me!
Anyway, I was wondering if any more reports have come in regarding this mishap.
