Although forced to slow down a bit, the boat work continues. I finished making and installing the clamp at the top of the cabin, also got the beams permanently installed.

This shows the beading around the clamp, some of which I used the router, but around the front radius of the cabin I used a Lie-Neilson beading tool to match the router generated bead. The other option would have been to make a special base for the router. The rabbit on the inside of the clamp is for vertical staving to be installed between the top clamp and the additional carlin to be installed around the bottom edge.

Now with the beams installed I can effectively cover the boat with tarps, have a few light bulbs on to take the chill off for winter working, also the tarps will deflect the rain in the boat shed which is created be condensation on the metal shed roof.

Jim, correct 2 passes with the router, along the relatively straight sides.
Around the front radius, the inside face of the bead I was able to use the router, the botton half of the bead required using the beading tool which is a scraper, so it took quite a bit of scraping to get the final shape.
The beading and rabit was cut after bending and joining the 3 pieces it took for the total length of the clamp which is 32 feet.
The deck beams were cut in after installing the clamp using a notched and tapered joint, screws and 5200
