Going OK got to be careful about burning the candle at both ends. I just did some hiring and some firing which is always stressful. But we have tightened the new menu and I have a band booked for Weds night and we are going to be packed.
I have been dovetailing the real estate into the restaurant nicely. I have real estate customers eating and eating customers asking for my real estate card ;)
I brought in a small stack of little real estate books with my card stapled to them and they all were taken so I need to bring a new stack in tonight ;)

You might consider getting some fuel pumps out front too.... "Eat at Joe's and get gas!"

Nope but we did open up an anex next store that serves high end sushi ;)
We brought in a sushi chef from NYC and all the proper equipment, as well as the same fish vender that Nobu in NYC uses. People are raving about it. ;)

Joe, now that you are doing well and have money for the boat and a new business, you might wanna consider covering your family with health insurance, if you haven't done so already.

Or considering the way your wife was feeling after you rolled the car, you might consider taking a life insurance policy on yourself for Tess's future! :D

Looks like a nice place; and sushi? It helps to have the right connections, especially for that, I would think. How about a shot from the street?

I think they're waiting for their first disgruntled customer to get a shot from the street. :D

Joe.. I think its great.. Go for it.. If one doesn't try, one doesn't know what will happen. It may be so good that ya give up real estate...Who knows.... It's a tough business as you well know...but.. heck, why not...
A lot of people here... myself included.. would be exceptionally nervous about taking the plunge....hence some of the comments..Don't mind us...
A maritime theme? Any boat pictures on the wall? There's gotta at least be a pic of Tidbit up there somewhere.

Nice looking place Joe! I remember when you first posted the picture of you and your friends. I noticed on the menu that you offer King Salmon.
Not sure where you buy it, but Wild Alaska Salmon is a big marketing success story. Remember...

If you'd like, I'll send you some numbers of small local fish processors as we have a winter king salmon season in Sitka.
Start marketing your salmon as Alaskan, rather than just plain old 'king', and then place a stack of those bumper stickers near the cash registrar and give them out for free.
PM me an address, and I'll send ya few stickers when I get home next week. The organic crowd loves'em!
I've got no connection to any business here, just trying to get the best fish to a classy restaurant.

Ain't classy in "Cold Spring On Hudson" It's called "Quaint" there. "Classy" is for more pedestrian villages.
And lets face it folks........ What Joe needs to do is open a rib shack! :D

Well, to be honest, it is a great spot in a great Village, but it needs the proper stewardship.
Joe has the skill to help out in that department...
I think that I can gaurantee preferential treatment FOR ALL FORUMITES, if they actually A. Show Up, and B. Behave...;)
This could be a lot of fun for JCSOH, or it could not be...Time will tell:) No harm either way:cool:

aah well thats that stuffed up the date like a roast chook eh :D Theres NO WAY a mob of forumites could go to any restaurant that Joe is involved in and NOT a) MIS behave b) play up something shockin c) tease and cajole all the chickybabes from our invisible spots on the chairs... this is to say nothing about a) our inability to be conservatively quiet b) our inability not to tease the hell outta the chromedomed camera stuck on end of fingers one and c) well... make serious inroads into that booze cabinet ;) ... its just not possible :(
Actually come to think of it... I reckon Joes restaurant would be an IDEAL spot for a forum get together! I mean look at all those empty tables!! Pleanty of room eh! :D and now hes even got a band to play for us! and now an all female chickybabe staff for us;) ... yep bloody nigh on perfeck... his shout of course :p
