The house is quiet. It's Sunday morning outside and there are few cars passing. I put an old Sade cd on and go about small things...I haven't listened to her for a while and now I am reminded how, just how powerful her voice is.

It may be fairer to point out that I've been in love with her since I was 36 years old...ah well...

I remember a time when Joan Biaz sang at breakfast at my parents house. She had a gig at Yale.. my sister was a friend of her sister's at college so we put her up...Loved the voice then.. She has sort of disappeared... I guess the 60's are over...

not whiles any who remember yet live...whiles any may rise again from his bed and strip the sleeve of his soul and can say "see, this scar I had me in 1964"

I taped a great concert off of PBS a few years ago. She is wonderful, and the band is absolutely fantastic.

I heard her sing in Philadelphia in 1955 (i think). Amazing and beautiful.

Hm. I say that when I'm not quite sure what else to say.

In love with her. Nothing wrong with that. I haven't been in love with a performer in ages, but I see how it happens.

Ya know, Phil, she may be lonely too. Take the steps to say hello. You might be suprised.
