What a game, indeed.

So how does this play out for a national championship though?

Ohio State...definitely there.
USC...Lost to unranked Oregon State
Florida...10 point loss to Auburn
Notre Dame...Beaten soundly by Michigan
Michigan...3 point loss to Ohio State

What are the odds of a rematch in the BCS title game?

I'd say they're excellent. The one sidenote, which I suspect will lose out in these matchups, is Rutgers. Anyone see the Louisville game? Undefeated, but not sure they're in the same league as OSU, Michigan, and USC, maybe even Texas. Can you say 'playoffs'? (Not until they hafta)

Once was enough! Imagine how hard it would be for the Buckeyes to beat that Michigan team twice in a row.

Cinti's ahead of Rutgers, 17-3 at the half.

Paul: My point exactly. OSU through them for a loop for the first half with the stretch offense, but after halftime adjustments, Mich was able to come back against them. Remove a couple of uncharacteristic runs by OSU (and uncharacteristically allowed by UM) and that game may have gone the other way.

I say that both teams are given a month to get healthy and retool and then you let them have at each other for a 2nd time.

Hell, I'd tune in just to see what Jim Tressel would think up next. He might very well be the smartest/craftiest man on any sideline.

What you saw was the championship game. By the time any post-season games are played the edge will be gone and anything could happen.

Okay my take on the Mich/OSU game was that it was a good game and you might see a re-make of it. Of course you know that (and this is where the bitterness comes in) that they will never consider a one loss team from the SEC.

What about them Razorbacks? After getting killed by USC to open the season they have been on a helluva run. But I bet they don't get any consideration for the national title.

Speaking of good games Cal gave USC a run for their money. That game was interesting to me. First TN killed Cal opening day but yet CAL stays ranked higher than TN. USC killed Ark. the first game and Ark wore TN out. With Cal losing TN should move up. If Cal had beat USC it could've helped TN power ratings.

Of course everything in football is happening almost perfect for what TN needed except of course TN lost to LSU and Ark. I would like to see some of these other teams play a SEC schedule.

I should have included the Razorbacks.

Most likely, we're looking at a Florida/Arkansas SEC Championship game.

With a fairly strong win against Florida, Arkansas could also find itself in the BCS Championship.

Rutgers, on the other hand, was left out intentionally. Sorry Knights, but going undefeated in the Big Easy does not a championship team make. Would say the same of Louisville, had they won.

BTW Chad, we never did properly discuss/digest the events of November 5th. ;)

Time to start a new thread.

I think he's probably the best 'big game' coach around right now.
