I have a bronze transducer for old style flashing depth sounder. The transducer is probably 30 years old, but now needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if these all worked off the same frequency; specifically, can I just put in a used transducer and expect it to work?

Thanks. Time for a cedar dowel for the bottom and lead line.

Careful! If you hook up the depth sounder/fish finder/sonar electronic display unit to the wrong fequency transducer and you could permanently destroy your depth sounder/fish finder. Make sure that you have a match on the frequencies before you hook it up.
