Nice job Pierre , told ya it's easy once ya know all the steps :) ;)
Now to refine your new found talents , put a space between your inserts / photo's , so they line up , and coniside with your written words , easier for the unwash masses to understand and view. Notice how you have to scan sideways , unless you have a wider screen monitor, scrolling vertically is easier , IMO.
Ah summer in the PNW , something to look forward to , Eh!:)
Again nice job , Paul

Nice job! That looks like a Nancy's China next to your boat. Is it?

The finished "Egret" belongs to a Sam Devlin employee. My photo caption did not show up but did read "What MY boat will look like."
Yes, that is a Nacy's China next to the Egret in Olympia, WA.
Please excuse my rookie postings.

Pierre, you shoudl talk to Lee (who work for Sam); he has made a few modifications to his Egret. He has sailed it quite extensively and the modifications proved very worthwhile.

Pierre, is that varnish over the epoxy coatings? Nice finish. System 3 now makes a 2 part clear finish that is water based and goes over their clear epoxy. Seems like a way to go. I'll be finishing my next boat this way.
Cheers,
Clint

Capt Jake,
I actually met lee, visited his Egret and got Lee's modification drawings for the centerboard and decked version which I have been following for the most part. Lee Sandifur was an incredible help to me. It was in fact, his boat that convinced me to build Devlin's Egret.

Clinton,
The photo you see is that of me finishing MAS Epoxy Barrier Coat number Three. For the first two coats I used FLAG Resin and slow hardener, then after getting a little smarter, I switched to MAS Low Viscosity Resin and slow hardener for its better self leveing characteristics (all things being relative, the latter was a breeze compared to the FLAG resin applications --don't do that for barrier coating unless you have a lot of patience and flat surfaces only). After each barrier coat application I sanded by hand, my best sander, with 3M 220 Imperial (stikit - the newer purpul stuff). I think one more and I'm ready for , yes, Systems Three water born epoxy Primer. Don't be too fooled by the smooth looking surfaces as there is much more fairing ahead...Oh heck! here I am again, preaching to the choir!

Pierre hope everything is well.. started on my centerboard box ..
Same design as Pierres... except mine will be open.. no decks.. I am a bit behind Pierre as far as progress goes, but this is one years work on and off for an hour or two a day..
