Alaska Voting Ballot (really!)

Just thought I'd post this, as when I entered the booth I was amazed at the number of parties to choose from...

I really dig the dude from the 'Impeach Now' party. Can't believe he didn't win. :)

In case anyone cares... Sarah Palin won the Governor seat. We ousted Frank Murkowski (some of ya might recognize him from the old US Congress cronies) during the primary.

Sarah was up against a 2 time winning Democrat Governor (folks can run for governor up here multiple times, but only twice in a row) who was very popular with the 'enviro' crowd and the native community.

I voted for a democrat running for a seat as an Alaska representative, but he lost.

Can't say we didn't have lots of choices! :)

You know we're about as far away from Alaska as you can get and still be under the same flag, yet Don Young persists as one of the more pronounced thorns in our territorial side. I was saddened to note his reelection to an 18th term.
