For those friends she has, she is willing to play at being the hostess for 100,000.00. She will arrange and attend your own, very special and personal , New Years Eve party...
Only stipulation is, she has to pay for her own booze... Now that should minimize the conversations to practically nothing... LOL

Umm.. I wonder if she is voting this year? Remember that tee shirt she wore the last time around that said " go vote ".. Seems that she forgot to.. No, that isn't right, she had not registered to vote...

Please, please, for the sake of humanity, I beg of you, make the Bilge a Paris Hilton Free Zone. Please. Pretty please.

rbgarr.. I do think she has a slightly inflated ego though.. One hundred grand.... for five hours....make it six...
The funny thing is, I would not be surprised if someone doesn't take her up on it... LOL

Milo.. didn't know you were bidding on this offer...

I just threw up a lil bit in my mouth. This is not funny. We have a radio station in Deetroit that fines any of the morning DJ crew for mentioning her name. Needless to say, it's the one I like to listen to.

Are we sure this isn't "The Hilton-Paris"?
Then again, there's always Hilton Head.....

Celebrity culture is very odd. I can kinda understand people wanting to be close to say an actor who has done work that they like. Film and stage are projective media, and even though such celebrities are just people, they do hold a certain magnetism. But Paris Hilton? What has she done, except be born blond and slender with a silver spoon in her mouth? She's got a horsey face, to boot!

I ran into Lilli Taylor in an antiques shop in a small town in MA. I really like some of her work, and had to introduce myself and tell her so. I didn't want to be slavish fan, so I just said hello and told her how much I admired "Dogfight" and some of her other work. There was a weird buzz in the air around her, even though she's a B-list actress. She seemed quite nice.

Ish.. speaking of celebs.. Saw an interesting poll the other day.. actually a list of messages sent by e-mail to a major news media..
When asked if celebs made a difference in a campaign.. I'd say 90% said no.. In fact.. drawing in a celeb to campaign for the candidate was looked down upon.. The reason.. people down inside, don't think much of celebs.. Yes, they have name recognition but that was it...
